Heed's mobility tools, at a glance

Visa and structure tools are available now. Financial, insurance and Marketplace access are still pre-launch.

What you get

Insurance will be your cover map: the policies you can buy yourself, with the operational facts that decide whether they fit. At launch, it sorts what handles US persons and long-term residence to the top, so you're not reading fine print across a dozen tabs to find the two that work.

  • Travel medical and nomad cover for rolling, long-stay, and adventure trips
  • International health insurance for long-term residence, not just trips
  • US-person handling called out plainly: native cover, optional module, or not at all
  • A 'buy it yourself' filter so you see what you can purchase online today
  • Coverage region, underwriter, and a direct link to quote, no sales call required

How it works

01

Pick the kind of cover

Travel and nomad for trips and rolling stays, or international health for long-term residence.

02

Tell us if you're a US person

Toggle US person and plans with native US cover float to the top, the ones that won't reject you.

03

Filter to what you can buy

Show only self-serve plans you can purchase online today, or include broker-placed options too.

04

Quote direct

Open the provider and get a quote yourself. No referral kickback decides the order, fit does.

FAQ

No. Heed is a directory, not a broker. You buy directly from the provider. Some providers run affiliate programs, but that never changes the order or what we show, fit and US-person handling decide the sort.

Many international health insurers either exclude US persons, charge more, or only cover the US as an optional module. We normalise each plan as native US cover, optional, or none, and float the ones that actually work for you to the top.

Travel and nomad policies cover trips and rolling stays, often capped and not true health insurance. International health insurance is full medical cover for people who actually live abroad. We tag each plan so you don't buy trip cover when you needed health cover.

Most, but not all. Self-serve plans (SafetyWing, Genki, Insured Nomads and others) you buy online in minutes. A few comprehensive insurers (Cigna Global, Allianz Care, William Russell, Foyer) are quote or broker-placed. The 'buy it yourself' filter separates the two.

Insurance is the products layer: policies you buy yourself. The Marketplace is the people layer: a vetted insurance broker who places bespoke cover for a complex case. Use Insurance to buy a plan; use the Marketplace when you need someone to handle it.

Each tool maps a different thing to your profile, so you never have to guess. Visa Match finds residency and visa programs (where you can live). Structure Match finds company structures (what to set up, and where). Financial Navigator finds accounts (banks, brokers, multicurrency, crypto rails). Insurance finds health and travel policies. The Marketplace is the people layer: vetted advisers, lawyers, bankers, and brokers for when you want a human to handle it rather than a product to choose yourself.
